Old Georgetown Club Swim and Dive

What an exciting and fun season we have had! For most swimmers and divers this week will wrap up the 2024 season. But we have jam-packed this week with fun events and opportunities to make memories with Dolphin teammates!

• Tuesday July 16, 12pm-2pm: Team Outing to Dave and Busters in Rio

Join your OGC friends and coaches for some fun and games at Dave and Busters! Swimmers//divers/families are responsible for their own costs. We ask that any swimmer or diver 11 and under have an accompanying adult (it does not have to be a parent.).

• Friday July 19, 10am – 11 am: Team Breakfast

Following morning practice on July 19, swimmers and divers will enjoy a hardy breakfast and time with friends. Please sign-up to make or donate an item to the breakfast: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F084AA9AF23A2FB6-50282773-ogcteam. Food should be fully cooked and ready to serve in disposable containers or labeled and removed following the breakfast. Please have all food items at the pool by 9:30am.  We still need a few more volunteers to help with set-up, monitoring and clean up: https://ogcdolphins.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

Send your swimmer/diver with a t-shirt for a signing party during/after the breakfast.

In order to accommodate the breakfast, for July 19th only, practice times will be changed - be sure and read the emails from the swim/dive reps for more details

• Friday July 19: 6pm-7pm: Divisionals Dance

Come celebrate our Divisionals swimmers and divers at the Divisionals Dance. “Swimmer nice” attire. Back by popular demand are divsionals dates. This year, girls will ask the boys.

• Monday July 22, 5pm-9pm: Team Banquet at Knights of Columbus on Cedar Lane.

The End-of-Season Swim & Dive Banquet will take place on Monday, July 22 from 5-9pm! As in years past, it will be hosted at Knights of Columbus, 5417 W Cedar Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814. The evening will include a catered dinner (with cash bar!), awards, DJ and dancing, and of course, the famous slideshow! This is a don't miss event! RSVP via Swimtopia as soon as you can so we can get an accurate headcount. Additional details and a call for volunteers will be shared soon!
