Coaches
Connie Smink - Head Coach - Connie began swimming for OGC at age 8. She finished her swimming career at the Old Georgetown Club leading them to a 3-Peat, winning three straight MCSL championships in 1966, 1967, and 1968, as well as breaking 10 MCSL swimming records during her OGC career. She has coached for over 50 years, starting when she was 18! Connie has been the head swim coach at OGC for the past 23 years. She also coaches year-round for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. Coach Connie was inducted into the MCSL Swimming Hall of Fame in 2018. Connie has retired from teaching in the Montgomery County School System.
Caroline Hagerty - Assistant Head Coach - Caroline has been a proud member of the OGC swim and dive teams since she was four. She is in her 6th year of teaching 3rd grade in FCPS and is currently working towards her masters in instructional technology at UVA. This will be her 14th year coaching at OGC. She is very excited for this summer and can't wait to get the season started.
Gabi Meisel - Assistant Head Coach - Gabi is a new addition to the OGC family and excited for an amazing season! She was on the North Chevy Chase Sharx since she was nine, breaking multiple breaststroke records and swimming in Coaches Long Course and All Stars throughout her MCSL career. She is in her final year of Bates College studying Environmental Studies and Anthropology. At Bates she swam varsity for three years, was President of the Student Athletic Committee of 50+ athletes, participated in Student Government as a Senior Representative, and was a leader for Bates Freshman Orientation Outdoor Program.
